Progress reports

We are interested in the progress of work we are funding and any learning which might be useful for your organisation and others. We ask grant recipients to report on the progress of funded work. We will provide more details about this if we offer you a grant, following assessment of your completed application.

There are two options for reporting progress on a grant. We suggest you use the one that you find most straightforward. The two methods are:

  1. Producing a written report with headings that we provide.
Download headings: as a Word DOC (23k), as a PDF (25k)

  2. Completing a standard reporting form.
Download the form: as a Word DOC (36k), as a PDF (28k)

There is no set length to progress reports. You should answer each of our points as briefly and clearly as possible using the space you need.

We are keen for projects to tell us the 'whole story' and not just good news. We recognise that for all organisations (including ourselves) everything doesn't always go right, and things sometimes don't go to plan or don't work out. This learning is just as important as when things go according to plan and sometimes more so. We encourage you to be as honest as possible in your responses.

Workplans
A workplan might help you in the planning, delivery and tracking of your project. You may also use it to support your application to Esmée Fairbairn. More information on workplans.

Visits
We visit some organisations/projects that we have funded to find out how the work is going, what is being achieved and any resulting lessons from it. We will contact you if we would like to visit.
